DFLY's refined creations are designed from materials respectful of mankind and planet : Recycled gold, from SAAMP Group - a member of RJC (Responsible Jewelry Council) -, and lab grown diamonds. As a genuine scientific feat, this diamond crystallizes in a lab in conditions similar to nature's process, with same chemical, physical and optical features as mine diamonds. 'We wanted a totally modern jewelry, a 21st century jewel. And this could only be achieved with lab-grown diamonds, respectful of biodiversity' declare the two co-founders.
Round-cut for a traditional engagement ring or emerald-cut, set face to face at the very end of a yellow gold minimalistic bangle, DFLY diamonds are fully anchored in what should be, according to the founders, today's jewelry : 'A jewel with one foot in the past, thanks to the French savoir-faire, and one foot in the future, thanks to advanced material and contemporary design'. The first collection creation named Desert Oddity has been given to Philippe Airaud. 'Our desire was to create timeless, sensual and minimalistic lines. Inspiration had to be poetic, suggesting the effect of wind on sand within an imaginary desert' (...)
